It was 7:15 pm and I was doing a reading in my new traveling homestead. I was speaking to a woman who was connecting with her father on the other side. I had just begun tapping into the energy of her father when the energy shifted. Once it had shifted, I could tell it was still male, but this time it was a panicked male, one that was screaming profanities and clearly disoriented. I looked at it for a while and even said to the client, "I think your dad is swearing." She said that he was known to do that, but just then the energy shifted back to a calm male energy. I brushed it off and went about my reading. After I was done, my husband and two boys returned home wanting to tell me about a horrible accident that they witnessed on the highway. The moment they said "accident", it all started to flood into my head. I could see the two cars, three people and even the exit where it happened. I asked them and they confirmed that I was right. It all clicked... the energy shift that came through during the reading was the male that was in the car accident. Turns out he was stuck in the car for over an hour and when they finally did get him out they airlifted him to a hospital. My heart grew heavy, knowing that the male energy that was in such a panic was indeed the man in the accident! When I said it out loud, I knew that it fit. I sat with my guide for a moment and asked why it interrupted my reading. I have always worked hard to hold sacred space in readings so the only thing that comes through is what the client needs to hear. But this time, it didn't work. According to Big Dog, my main guide, it didn't matter what I was doing, reading or no reading, in that moment what mattered more was that the man was coming in and out of consciousness at the crash site and needed help. It was my responsibility, as well as all other sensitives, to stop and send him the energetic support he needs in that moment. My guide showed it to me as a radius that went out from the crash site a few miles, like a large beacon or a circle, alerting all sensitives that there is someone that needs their energetic support. It is as if we as humans were originally wired to hear the distress of someone far away. This may not be of any news to some of you, but for many people, we just don't consider that aspect of human beings. We have a responsibility, because we are all connected as one, to support in times of need, even if it is just energetically. We have a responsibility to prioritize and create, or recapture, these precious practices.
For those of you who are sensitive, supporting when you feel the call is a great practice to get into, even if you are not sure of the details. It isn't always necessary to know all the details. For those of you who are not yet developed enough to sense the distress call, when you hear about an accident or if you are in the crowd of stuck travelers waiting for the road up ahead to clear up, send a prayer. It doesn't matter your religion. Very simple practice... send a prayer.
